Starwater, le premier spectacle permanent de Moment Factory intégrant l’art de la performance au multimédia, est actuellement en cours de production. Le public pourra le voir dès novembre, à bord du Quantum of the Seas, le nouveau navire de croisière de la société internationale Royal Caribbean.

Les navires de croisière de catégorie Quantum sont les derniers nés de la flotte de Royal Caribbean International. Pour le Quantum of the Seas, qui sera inauguré en novembre, Moment Factory a travaillé en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de RCI afin de créer Starwater, un spectacle unique combinant multimédia, performances, musique dynamique et technologies innovatrices. Ce voyage d’environ une heure met en scène des danseurs, des chanteurs, des musiciens, ainsi que de somptueux costumes et des effets visuels impressionnants – tous conçus et orchestrés par l’équipe créative de Moment Factory.

La collaboration entre les deux équipes ne s’arrête pas là. Pour divertir les voyageurs entre les représentations deStarwater, une douzaine d’histoires courtes ont été créées. Elles sont diffusées sur deux installations que l’on retrouve exclusivement sur le navire Quantum of the Seas, le Vistarama et le Roboscreens (également utilisés pourStarwater). Le Vistarama est composé de deux immenses fenêtres de 70° allant du plancher jusqu’au plafond et qui peuvent se transformer en écrans de diffusion, brouillant les frontières entre réalité et fiction. Véritable chef-d’œuvre d’ingénierie, l’installation Roboscreens est composée de six écrans LED robotiques et articulés mesurant un peu plus de 2 mètres de haut, formant une toile de fond dynamique pour raconter une histoire.

Starwater, the first original theatrical show to be signed Moment Factory, is getting ready for launch. Its home: a custom-built multimedia theater on board Royal Caribbean International’s brand new ship, the Quantum of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean International’s new Quantum-class vessels are the latest additions to their industry-leading fleet. The first ship in this class, the Quantum of the Seas, will make its maiden voyage in November.

On board, Moment Factory’s signature Starwater show will chart out new dimensions at the intersection of digital and live entertainment. Working in close collaboration with the wonderful team from RCI, we’re combining multimedia storytelling, live performances, innovative technologies and a high-energy score to create a completely new kind of shipboard spectacle.

Nearly an hour long, this experiential journey will feature dancers, singers, live musicians, mesmerizing visuals and fabulous costumes – all imagined, designed, scored and choreographed by our creative team.

Our collaboration with RCI doesn’t stop there. We’re also using two media features that are exclusive to Quantum class vessels – the Vistarama and the Roboscreen, both used in Starwater – to tell a dozen shorter, atmospheric stories that entertain passengers outside of show hours.

The Vistarama is made up of two 70° floor-to-ceiling windows that transform into projection screens, blurring the lines between reality and fiction. The Roboscreens are remarkable feats of engineering – six articulated robotic LED screens, each 7 feet high, that can be choreographed to create a dynamic storytelling canvas.
